When I first staring driving stick in my Wrangler it was/is a really good learning car. The clutch is really forgiving. One bad thing is that the gear ratios are really low so I had to learn to take off in second gear, just a little story. But I say find a friend and try and learn stick and dont waste your time and money buying the six, just find a nice GT and do that buying process once.

my car has a stage 2 clutch and it was my first stick car i ever drove.... it was easy as hell to learn on, and to this date has been the easiet car to drive ive ever driven.... 4 bangers are much harder to drive since you cant feel where the clutch catches or anything....no torque!

ive owned a 90 amigo, and a 94 probe...both 4 bangers... i couldnt drive the amigo for ****, and the probe was decent.... mustang is a cake walk to drive though

i sucked the fist day then was fine by the end of the week. Cobra clutch was a bit hard to learn on since its pretty heavy

A mustang is SUPER easy to learn on. Like 99 said a 4banger car is a biyatch to drive. When I worked at a dodge dealership we would get those calabers and srt4 neons etc.. those things are a PITA to drive..not to mention pull on a lift, the clutch is tricky to work because u cant feel where it engages.

I leaned to drive standard on the family beater...Ford ranger lol. I tooled around in that bad boy for 2 weeks untill i got my mustang(after i sold my truck)

just make sure you rev match, and put it in two forward gears before shifting to reverse, And also there is nothing wrong with the car, your the reason it will miss third for the first couple weeks.

I've been driving manuals for about 7 years through 5 cars (all manual) I like the feel of the clutch better than any other car I have had (90 civic, 92 jetta, 98 accent, & 03 civic).

some comparison, like xterm11 did. ive owned 6 cars before this in 5 years of driving (sold them all, no wrecks). my other cars in order were a 93 s10 blazer w/ a 4.3, 87 subaru brat, 91 geo prizm, 93 geo tracker, 2006 civic si, 2000 miata. also some cars i drive regularly are my dads 04 rsx-s and my moms 05 eclipse gt. hardest of any of these to drive is my moms car, the clutch is super weird. easiest is the mustang, very forgiving clutch. 3rd gear is a bitch though for the first few days
