I have a 97 mustang gt. I would like to be able to do some tuning on my own. I have a innovate lc-1 kit on the way and was wondering what handheld tuner would give me the tunability i'm looking for. the car is n/a now with little stuff but i'm getting ready to do some heads and a few other things, maybe n2o aswell. I'm thinkin sct x3 from brenspeed. I can play with it now, then when things get more complicated brendspeed can send me any tune i wish. Is this a good plan? How are there custom tunes?

If you want to tune yourself then get sniper.

I'm getting some used pi castings and i'm gonna gasket match them and a few other things to get a bit more flow without breaking the bank, nothing big. I already have the pi cams and intake so thats the next move.

Do you have the sniper? Witch one and what all can you do with it?

i would get a dyno tune when ur done that's what im going to do

Does anyone have experience with Brenspeed custome tuning after FI or cams and after market heads? If I can get an x3 and get safe tunes from brenspeed then thats prolly what ill do.

I just want somthing that I can do some tinkering with after i get a good base tune. Any problems with Brenspeed tunes? I just dont want to spend all the money for dyno time.
