Fram filters suck, there filter is actually very very thin. I use all Mobil 1, oil and filter, and i use synthetic.

I use Royal Purple 5w-20 and K-N Filters, Mobil 1 filters are hard to come by around here for some reason.

As far as Fram goes for the most part they do suck, unless you go with the X2 filters. I went to school with a guy that makes filtering material and performs the testing. The X2 filters are one of the best he said.

And some of the filters listed are acutally fram filters, but I can't remeber which ones

Thank you for the recommendations. Going to use Royal purple and then either the mobil 1 or k&n filter.

RP usually runs about the price of Mobil1.

I usually by a case of RP and 2 k-n for just under a 100bux with my discount where I use to work.

I run Amsoil synthetic every time and an Amsoil filter. Never had a problem. Mobil 1, Amsoil, and Royal Purple are about the best on the market, but if you can, stick to synthetics. They'll buy you some engine life because they leave few deposits behind among other things.
