Got Gas, Check Engine Light, misfiring????
I just bought my 02 Gt which i love by the way from NY, i drove it for about 15 min, then went to a mobil and filled it with 89 Octane. Soon after i jumped on the highway and drove for a good 30 min towards my home. the check engine light began to blink, go solid then blink more, so i stopped and re tightened the gas cap thinking it was that, still did it the whoel way home....now the check engine light is solid.
Went to Advanced Auto Parts, did diagnostic check pulled these codes... PO35-Ignition Coil E Primary/Secondary
Misfire first 1K Revs
Cylinder 5 Misfire
Cylinder 6 Misfire......What do i do to fix this? any help appreciated i have to get it to emissions so i can reg it, but wont pass with a Check eng....thanks for your help, let me know what to buy to fix it, and if it is a big deal...otehr than that it runs and drives unbelivable......

Assuming you mean po352 ignition primary B. Pull your plugs out of 5 & 6 and check them.If they are good check the coils by disconnecting them and seeing if they make it run rougher or not when disconnected.Dont drive with a blinking light it will ruin your cat and make it run worse.

DTC P0350 is a general ignition coil secondary malfunction, codes P0351 through P0360 are for coils "A" through "J" (the OBD2 codes support up to 10 cylinders). P0355 would be coil "E", the #5 cylinder, front driver's side.
Here are the possible causes shown in the shop manual.

first off you bought a lemon!!!! if i just bought a car and it started misfiring right off the bat then i would def take it back. i don't know what the lemon law is where u live but in mass i think its 9 days. so if u buy it from a private seller or whom ever they have to buy it back!!!! but if u want to keep it then i would start by buying a haynes manual. very informative book. it will tell you everything that could potentially be causing the misfire.
normal things to look for in a case like this is a bad coil on plug, but its very rare that two would go out at the same time. plugs are another thing to check along with coil on plug boots. these have a tendancy to fail as well. maybe you just got a bad batch of gas and some dirt clogged ur fuel injectors in these two cylinders.

well, i honestly don't think it is a lemon, i had the car up to 110-115 about 4 times already and it didnt skip a beat, u can feel it under 1k rpms, but its not bad i like it, and have used the haynes before....but idk, should i buy new plugs and just change em?
