Default HELP! Spark plug blowout w/ another prob

last night i was driving on the highway when all of the sudden POW!!!....good by #3 spark plug, well i got some tools and started to get to work and figure out the damage, so here is the other dilema, the coil over plug got demolished, and when i removed the spark plug a nice chunk of rubber piece from the coil fell down into the spark plug hole and into the head to the point where i cant see it!!!!...is there a way to get that thing out or will the head of the be removed...i was thinking of making some kinda long devise with a sharp hook at the end and working it around to see if i can stick the rubber piece and pull it out, but i dont know how the internal looks from that hole, where all could it have gone to and any idea on how to get it out?

Damn bro, sorry to hear about that. If something fell off in there, i'd pull the head and make sure there was nothing left that could do damage.

MY #3 PLUG BACKED OUT ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF AGO. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT HOME ABOUT 2 MILES AWAY. I USED A THREAD CHASER AND I WAS GOOD TO GO. IT DESTROYED MY COP TOO.
MAYBE YOU COULD STICK A 1/4" DIAMETER HOSE IN THE PLUG HOLE AND SUCK THE PIECE OUT.

when i ran the insert into my head to fix the stripped threads, I used a vacuum contraption to get all the aluminum shavings out..

that, in conjunction with a light, I was able to get all of the shavings off of the piston and out of the chamber...

too bad for me the helicoil/insert did not work anyways.

my guess is there prolly is some stripped threads on the head...but the threads on the actual spark plug dont look damaged. Coil over plug looks like a grenade was takin to it.....well i guess it was kinda similar to one haha.

Here was my damage.

When I made a thread about my plug backing out, so many people replied about the same problem that you would've thought that Ford would've had a recall on this problem. I guess the cheap *** intake manifold recall took that much a loss in profit to add another one to the list.
Good luck with it.

I got lucky, I got the FIRST picture, but not the second.

Plug even threaded back in for awhile before I had to run an insert.

#3 cylinder too!
