Automatic to Manual transmission complete!
Hey, just thought I'd make a quick post about an operation my car just had. I had my 04 GT vert converted from an automatic to a T-3650 and everything went beautifully. I purchased a kit from
www.prestigemustang.com which included everything, but I did not use the flywheel or clutch because I didn't really want to put a used clutch into the car. So, I ordered new ones at americanmuscle.com so it'll be all fresh in there. I had my friend do the installation for me, which took him about 3 evenings to do it. So if anyone is considering doing this, I say go for it. The only hiccup i ran into was that the computer they gave me can't just be swapped in because the car won't start unless the computer has the right security codes loaded. It drives fine with the automatic computer in it except that the speedo is way off and the Overdrive light keeps flashing. This will be fixed soon however, because the ford dealer said just bring in the car, they will download the codes from my stock computer and load them into the new 5-speed computer and I'll be all set. Love the new sound and power!

Congrats. I swapped my 96GT about a year ago. I used the 5 speed ECM, and bought Sniper tuning to turn off the PATS. Have loved the car so much more ever since.
