Default Got off the phone with Demolet

Well this past weekend I changed my spark plugs. When I was reinstalling the intake I noticed that the intake tubing infront off the MAF (meter pipe) had cracked at the MAF mounting plate and 90degree elbow.

The crack was about 1/2 way around the pipe[:@]. I used some of the permetex sealent they sent with the intake to seal it up for now. I called Demolet and the customer service is sending me a new metering pipe tomorrow. Great customer service, no questions asked!

I hope I get it before friday though, because saturday is dyno day and I don't want that screwing up the A/F that I am trying to get dialed in!

Are you talking about the metal flange to metal pipe just prior to the MAF? Was it cracked or just seperated? Mine full length Densecharger seperated like that and it was due to a little stress caused by the manner that I had it installed. I press the pieces back together and adjusted some fitment and all is well. Ran like crap while it was seperated. Unfiltered, turbulent air rushing past the meter! I have delt with Demolet b4. Seems fine to deal with.
