help me please

i bought a 2000 mustang gt but it back fires and smells like its burning gas rich.i was told it was the o2 sensors which i changed but its doing the same thing.any suggestions please help me.......

Any codes?? Is it running rich or is it not burning fuel? If it's not burning fuel check spark plugs and ignition.
