stripped slot in strut
Are there any other ways to tighten the nuts that go on the struts. My slots stripped when I was trying to remove the nut.

If you can get your hands on impact gun, that would probably do it. That's what I used and I didn't need to try and hold the rod from turning.

I got mine off with an electric impact (no access to compressed air)
