Quite Pronounced Backfire
Car's a 99, 80K-ish miles.
No significant mods, well taken care of in terms of upkeep.
Over the past few months, and weeks especially, the cars starting to backfire quite loudly when I let off the throttle between shifts, and especially when blipping the throttle a little and letting off.
I noticed it most tonight when I was just playing around after crawling under it trying to locate my rattle *another story*.
I have a very good description of the sound. But before that, I can tell you with certainty that it isn't just the o/r H straight through muffler combination since it never did it this much before.
Here's the sound:
Vrroooom SPAT!
vrooooom SPAT!
Could this be caused by the car getting too much air? too much fuel? suggestions?
