Default catted h..

do catted h pipes still exist? i have a 98 cobra and i cant seem to find any normal length catted h pipes. i want to put flows on my car but heard that x pipes dont sound good with cambered mufflers. and i want to get rid of my mid pipe too because of those stock 4 cats and replace them with high flow cats. so does anyone know if h pipes are still available or if companies still make them? thanks

I'm not too sure where you can find a catted H pipe, but I have an o/r x pipe and a flowmaster catback, sounds pretty good imo. It screams at WOT and has a decent tone. My mufflers are 40 series.

MRT only makes h pipes for 99 and up. i have a 98 so im also out of luck there. i checked. i think i checked every where, lol .i even asked bbk if they made a catted version of there O/R h pipe. they never responded. i would put that O/R h on but i have emissions to take care of every 2 years. all i can find are catted x pipes. i dont like that new era sound though. h pipes really have that perfect bubbly raspy note im looking for.

just get an o/r h pipe and switch out when you need to get your emissions done

you could always buy an o/r h and get hi flows welded in at a exhaust shop

Most mid-pipes are 96-04 anyways. The only difference is the hanger locations, if your just absolutely dead set on a catted, then buy the one for 99-04 and make it work.

My suggestion is to just buy the o/r H and swap it out with the stock one when you have to test. I think you will be quite disappointed with the volume of a catted H and Flows, it honestly won't be much louder than stock. Swapping mid-pipes is really pretty easy after you get the first one out of the way.

id love to put O/R h pipes on but it would be a hassle every 2 years to take it off and swap it out. i just want something that i can set and forget. just like that cooking motto on the infomercial. so if i did weld on some high flow cats onto a O/R h i would be disappointed? ive check videos on youtube but alot of them are just bull**** or really bad quality. does anyone have a set up that they want to brag about and tell me?
