So pretty much we'll have to build the bottom end for that RPM
No theres people I know pulling to 7000 on bone stock engine, but I wouldnt do it simply because it puts major strain on the stock valvesprings. The trick flow heads will come with stronger valvesprings which will keep the valves from floating at high rpm and any decent set of cams will make use of the extra rpm. I was pulling my old stock setup to 6500rpm.
your numbers are off, with a stock 02 GT mustang 5.0 magazine ported and polished the original heads and a valve job to the best of their ability and got 30 more engine HP.
im only speaking on behalf of what i've seen. people with full bolt ons, ported heads, cams and a tune have made hp in the low 300's with these 2V motors. im sure with the trickflow intake manifold theyd make a little more.
The trickflow heads are $2k for the pair, and $2.5K for the heads with cams. I dont know the pricing of the ported R heads from them, but im assuming they'll be a couple hundred more. i don't want to comment too much on them until i actually see some setups using them so we can see what they really can do.
