i agree with code that whipples are the best. They have quite a bit lower prices and their blowers are just about as efficient as KB's.

Code: I was lookin at the whipple site and couldn't find a twinscrew application for the gt...did i miss it or do they just simply not make one? I had no trouble finding one for the cobra, but not a single one for a gt...

no KB! you want a vortec P-trim!

Yeah... dont do a KB!! WTF?!?!? I just made 650 rwhp and thats running really rich! KB makes instantaneous boost and no boost drop off at any rpm. A properly built 2V will make 550 to the wheels very easily with a KB 1.7L. You will need to upgrade to 31-33 spline axles in the rearend. The tranny will definetly need to be upgraded. If you build the engine, you may as well get the Cobra 8 bolt crank and go with the T56 tranny.

Nope... 2.2

The 2.4 isnt worth the upgrade. It only produces like four pounds of boost over the 2.2.

umm...he wont be at 550 unless he want to blow a rod, burn the clutch, lose the tranny, and rip that rear end apart...

get the engine done first, or just s/c it.

the turbo's would be a waste on a stock engine...specially if they can only handle 500 hp (kinda suprising)

def. go plan A..and go with a twin screw blower, too lol (that's just my opinion, get what u want)
I agree. Do your normal bolt-ons. Get some head work done, cams, forged internals if you want, and upgrade your fuel system and top it off with a supercharger.
That’s what I’m thinking - Plan A. Even if I go with the Turbo, I will still likely have to do some engine work. The S/C route just seems to make the most sense, and probably yield the most “bang for the buck”. The alternative (trading her for an 03/04 Cobra) is awfully tempting, though...
