Default What suspension package should I go with?

My 98 Cobra is currently under major mods with HP in the 1000+ range at the wheels. For this much power, I expect to have major traction problems. I currently have Nitto 555s on the front(265/35) and rear(285/35) and will be changing out the rears to 305 drag radials. The car is still in the shop but it is getting close to decision time for the suspension. I havent' decided on what suspension package to use other than the front will have coil overs that go with the new K-member and control arms as part of the Twin Turbo package. I have been looking at Eibach's Pro Street coilovers. Does anyone know what package will do the best job of overcoming extremely high horsepower?

with that much power, stay away from eibachs and such. If you're going to be corner carving then call Maximum Motorsports or Griggs if you can afford it. I'm not familiar with drag setups so I'd wait for someone else to chime in on that.

well... no cutting corners with this one...

talk to teamz suspension

hell you may want to look into panhard bars, and a tq arm...

you can stay with a stock style spring in the back, most all of the renegade guys do

and a drag radial? itll never happen...run 15 inch rims, and atleast an et street style tire... the sidewall is going to help your cause

Well for the strip, definitely will not be running the same wheels, but when I'm around town showing my ***, I'm more worried about how not to break traction at 65+mph when I want to stomp it.

I would CALLboth Maximum Motorsports and Griggs Racing and talk to them, describe what you want out of your car and compare prices.

A lot of time if you are talking to both companies at the same time they are willing to talk each other down and you can get a good deal.

I agree with others an NO time to cut any corners.

I would certainly go PHB/Watts-Link with torque-arm and recommend MM or Griggs for sure. I also think you need to put good rubber all the way around as you need to stop and turn all that power once in a while
