I started my PI swap today. worked on it four about 6 hours and the engine is ready to come out, just have to pull the power steering pulley, bell housing bolts and its ready to come out. It kinda sux. There are sooo many sensors its ridiculous. But i'll keep you posted, and when i get done you will all want to PI swap or P&P your stock heads. I'll give ya'll an itch for more power after I brag about it !

Awesome man, good to hear someone is actually getting it started. A lot of people on this board, including myself, keep bouncing around the subject.

Devinsteen is tempting me with the P&P stock heads and PI intake. Sounds like a good idea to me!

Anyone know how much it costs to P&P your heads?

Well ive been told right about 500 you can P&P your heads. For 800 you can get the PI heads. 500 may even be on the low side. A P&P job only adds about 25 hp. THe full PI swap adds 40-50. But like you said you have 116k on your car. I only have 69k on my 98 So i think im alright. I should have gotten them P&P before i did my swap... but i also bought a new clutch, polyurethane motor mounts, and a hand help tuner so i didnt have 500-750 to P&P em. If i had 116k and all the bolt ons, gears and everything. I would port and polish instead of buying new.

Don't forget that the P&P NPI heads will outflow the stock PI heads. Add that plus a PI intake and you are looking at the same power gains as the PI swap.
I'm not too sure on the price for a P&P job, but porting the NPI heads will definitely by cheaper than buying new PI heads ( P&P would be extra too) and having them installed.

OH yeah, you could also buy the PI cams to go with it.....still cheaper than the whole swap. Just something to think about

THey might flow better then stock PI heads, but it wont bump up the Non PI mustang to 260 HP like the PI mustang. But if you buy the PI heads and port and polish them they will outflow the non PI heads no matter what.
