Default fuel gauge issue

Ok long sotry short, I was gonna change the face off my gauges and took all the needles off, and took a pic when doing so. Anywas half way though the isntall I rooled my car out of the garage and into the driveway ( a hill). I installed the needles in the same exact position they were in when I took the needles off. I didnt realize it until my tanks need fuel luight was on and my fuel gague was telling me iI had over 1/4. Then after I filled it went another 1/4 past the full mark.
Can somebody take a picture of the fuel gauge with a FULL TANK, Like someone who just filled up their stang and parked it. AS of now I filled my stang up and have to reposition the needle so it isnt off anymore.

Ok, What is a pic of the gauge reading full going to do for you correcting the needle?
Fill the tank
park on level ground
Re-install the needle on the full mark

This should fix the problem

With a full tank the needle normally goes over the full mark. Im just wondering how much it went over to repostion the needle.

mine only goes about a needle width past the full mark. why didnt you just put the needle on the empty mark when the fuel light was on?

I know I might get blasted for saying this but this is what worked for me. I filled my car and put all my needles in while the power was hooked up in the dash. They are dead on ***** accurate. I decided to do it this way because after 2 times of putting the needles in with the guages out the car they were all pointing where they werent supposed to. Now there perfect.

With a full tank mine is still touching the full mark.

I'm curious... Did you have your wheels turning and use the odometer in test mode to put the speedometer needle back on? The previous owner of my car didn't and it took me forever to figure out why my speedometer was 7 mph off.

My speedo was a bitch to set. Luckily when I set it the town had one of those radars that posted your speed right by my house. It took me 3 times but I finaly got it.
