time for e/t's..Need size help?

alright, my nittos are dead, and i think im gonna try the m/t et's this time... ive heard good stuff about em so far, but size wise im stuck... im runnin 18x10 wheels, and the 555r's i had were 305/35's and they sucked ass...i was thinkin bumpin up to 305/45(29x11.5) or they also make a 345/35(28x13.5) now. any help would be cool

I'd go with the 305

Anything bigger than that and you really cant use the extra tread. If you look at how 315s track thru water, then run 275s thru water, you can see only a slightly wider contact patch if any... 345s would be overkill for your car.

Boy, a 305/45/18" tire is VERY nearly 29" diameter

You are gonna have some rubbing if you run that tire on stock spring hight. The issue I see is lack of sidewall profile, as you are/were only running a 35 series. I recommend you go for a set of 15"s and maybe look into a 305/45/15" tire and now were talkin'. Besides, a 29" tire is going to take good HP/T to get moving and effectively raise the final drive gearing on your ride.

yeah, i originally was gonna do a new set of wheels but throwin the 18's in storage would kill me.. i wanted to do pro stars with skinnys just for the track or shows but that means two sets of tire n wheel..haha maybe i can come across some cheap 16's for the back and get the e/t's... whats the smallest wheel i can put on the back of my car? i always thought any smaller than 16 would pinch the caliper

+1, the problem is that 18" wheel. Put about any tire on there you like, in one way or another it's gonna slow your time. I'm pretty sure the 15" prostars fit the rear fine, but I could be wrong.
