need Tq specs for tranny and drive shaft bolts
Im getting ready to do a clutch job on my car and i need some info. I bought a haynes manual and its doesnt give a specific tq spec for anything, it just gives huge gaps like 20-45ftlbs. I dont feel confortable just picking a number.
I need the tq numbers for:
bellhousing to engine
tranny to bellhousing
drive shaft to rearend
flywheel
pressure plate

The only torque spec you'll need: tight.
Seriously, following torque specs really isn't that important unless it's something like head bolts, or the spark plugs in the case of the 4 thread holes on these cars. The only thing you should do it use a cross pattern when installing the flywheel and pressure plate, similar to tightening lug nuts. You don't need to follow a specific torque spec for anything that you're doing here. As long as everything is tight you're good.
