Default help swapped from 2v gt to 4v mk viii chipped key?

can someone help me not getting fire (ignition)i think it is the fact that i have a chipped key and a non chipped lincoln ecu,ecm brain whatever you want to call it.anyone have advice how to get around this chip?can i use an older style mustang ignition switch? the car is a 1998 mustang gt.the brain engine trans and wiring are out of a 1996 lincoln mark 8.

From what I have always read and heard, the security will not prevent the car from starting. It only prevents it from running for a period of time.

Not only that, but I also think it shuts fuel off, no spark.

If you are 100% sure that is the issue, the easiest way to get around it is to get a tuner and turn the PATS off. Thats what I did.

You'll have to have the PATS turned off with a tuner. Or worse case scenario, you can get a Directed Electronics Bypass module but it will need to be programed as well and they fail quite often. My advice is to find a tuner that can turn it off.
