Default alternator wiring.

For those that dont know im having a problem with an alternator not charging, alternator was tested and is good and battery is new. Well iv traced my problem down to the three wire plug coming off the alternator. One wire should be Hot all the time(it is), one wire is the jumper to the alternator, and the other is supposed to be hot when the key is on, which is my problem. The other wires are doing there jobs but i get no key on power to the other wire. I made a jumper and tapped into the key on wire and to the battery and the dash battery light goes out, and car starts charging. Does anyone know where that wire traces out to? there are three wires a yellow with white stripe, a green with red stripe, and the jumper which is white with black stripe. I believe its the green and red one( i think).

More than likely goes to the fuse box and then to the ignition. I would check to see if you have a burnt or blown fuse which would explain why you are not getting a signal through the wire when turning the ignition on. I am by no means a expert at this. Just trying to give ideas.
