You have 2 options.

#1: You can get you a box that converts your high wattage speaker wires into RCA outputs for your Sub. This is a simple process and the box will come with instructions.

#2: You can replace the Factory Stereo with an Aftermarket that has RCA outputs.

I prefer option #2 as you always loose signal quality when you put a converter box in. Also, most people plan an aftermarket CD player for the future, so why hack up your MACH wiring?

just buy another 1 or 2 channel amp that is for the sub. if you try and wire any type of speaker or sub to the 460 system it will complicate everything.

Not to mention that the stock amps have an 8 ohm resistance and most subs/speakers are 2 and 4 ohm so you will run the risk of burning up the amp.

Post this in the right section and you will get more valuable help. Audio/Visual section.

i wanted to keep my stock head unit so i used a line out converter and taped into the amps. i took the subs out but i still have the line out converter hooked up. i can take some pics of where i hooked it up to. it was quite easy and sounded good.

i just did this last night on my car, took me an hour and it works perfectly, here is the link.

this hooks a line out convertor to the low power input to the factory rear amps. it will be a much cleaner signal than tapping into an existing speaker, and will not increace the load on the head unit.

here is a link to some pics.

If its not too much trouble post a couple pics. I could always use more visuals.

i had my mtx 10s wired up to my mach system w/o replacing any of the speakers or deck unit. u the need the rca converter box tho, i think mine was like 15 or 20 bucks, u tap into one of the door speakers and wire everything else up like normal! blue wire behind the deck is the rms wire, ull need to tap into it as well to get a signal
