CF hoods look great on any color car IMO. I love unpainted CF on white, blue and red cars. I just saw a pic of an Si like mine with a CF hood and it looked sick.
I guess my point is, if you're going to spend the money why weigh it down even if it is only an extra few pounds of paint/clearcoat/wax, etc.

Doesn't matter if it's non lead based. I'd be putting at least three coats on, clear coat it, and wax it. Even if it adds just 3 pounds of extra weight, whats the point?

Idk i was getting one but then it never shipped so i ended up canceling it.. but its alright.. alot of people will always disagree.. but its about wat you like about it that makes ur car unique not what other people think.. if you like it go for it!
