Default Motor Tick

Ok here is my problem. Car runs great, no tick except 2800 to 2900 rpms. At idle or under load. Sounds like a lifter or valve but coming from the the drivers side towards the front of the motor. I thought maybe chain guide or something. Any ideas.

Lean is not enough fuel. Rich is to much fuel...
My car was running lean and had a little tick to it, but it was fuel problem....
But it could also be a few other things..
