Default 2 questions for you guys

I have a 5.4 4valve fixing to go in my car in at most a couple of months and i have one remaining question on the motor. On the LEFT valve cover there is a hose coming out at the back and in pictures of the 4.6 cobar motors it goes into the upper intake. is that just a vacuum pump? and would putting a breather hinder any performance or anything while running the motor? AND my second question is after the motor i am going to look at suspension parts and i have seen a few kits, but know very little about the matter and would just like some opinions or owners or previous owners on good suspension parts i should check out. any ideas will be nice. thanks guys

If your not gonna have high hp numbers then you can go ahead and vent it. If you have a high hp engine then not using a vacuum source will cause excessive blowby.

I thought that's what the PCV valve did which is in the right valve cover.
