Default Hey 3.73 Guys quick question

Ok So I just bought a full 3.73 rear gear kit basically. Its a brand new kit which has the ring and pinion spider gears clutches all new bearings and seals. It was an awesome deal so I bought it 75$ I had no choice. Although I bought my car used and it already had some things done to it like a short throw shifter intake... minor things. And I did some reading and think it may already 3.73 rear in it. To save me the trouble of jacking up my car and turning the drivshaft... What are you guys seeing on your tach and diff. mph.
Example at 75mph in 5th gear i'm tachin barely past 2500rpm. Which I dont believe is stock. Help me out please?

Just make sure the car wasn't turned because that can throw off your readings..

75mph in 5th turning 2500rpm's is pretty high for stock...

But it's hard to tell what kind of gears you have....if it had a tuner then the previous owner could have thrown off the speed/RPM readings though problably not.

I hve 3.73's and a tuner to recalibrate my speedo and at 80mph in 5th I am turning 2500rpm's...

So it sounds like you could havce 3.73's but then again if your car wasn't previously tuned then it shouldn't read that even if you had 3.73's

Nevermind I sound really confusing. Here do this, lift your rear up and turn your rear wheel completely and exactly 1 revolution and watch how many times your driveshaft turns. If it turns 3.27 times or somewhere like that then you have stock 3.27's and if it turns 3.73 times (or close to) then you have 3.73's

^ he said he didnt want to do that, although that is the best way to find out.

also, check this site out. its cliffyk's (someone correct me if im wrong) looks like you might have 4.10's? if its tuned correctly.

i believe you can jack the car up and see how many times the driveshafts rotate when making one full rotation with the rear wheel.

do you have a friend with a gps navigation thing? if you do, then just use it to see if your speedo is correct, most of them will show how fast your going. I have 373's and I run a little over 2500 at 80 mph.
