Default Evidence of wrist pin issues

#4 is ticking on my 02 GT. Several guys said wrist pin, others say oiling, some say loud injector. It only does it at idle.

I took the passenger head off to inspect everything. It's all worn evenly with no visible scars or damage.

If there was wrist pin, cracked piston or skirt problems, wouldn't this cause the piston to move enough in the cylinder to cause scarring or something visible?

I have the heads off, but engine still in the car. Is there any way to test for slack or piston issues on #4 without pulling the engine or oil pan and taking out the rod?

I wanted to perform a leakdown test but the sparkplug hole was too deep to get my homemade tester screwed into

put it in neutral, take a breaker bar, put it on your crank pulley and turn the engine by hand. look at your #4 when at top dead center and compare its movements to the rest of your cylinders and note if it move different or any delays or loosenes, etc.

Thanks dude-
I tried that today, but I actually had the #4 about half way down and slowly rotated the crank by hand and watched the movement on #3.

It was very hard to tell, but it seemed like there was a very minute delay.

Ex- seemed like the #3 would move .010 or a very slightly noticable bit before #4 moved.

I'm trying to determine why the car is ticking at idle but not if you give it any gas.

I'm narrowing it down to oiling issue, injector noise or potentially wrist-pin.

Not too long ago the #4 blew out the spark plug but it had a tick before that happened. Is it common for just one wrist pin to fail or become "loose" I guess?

The car has not been raced and rarely see's anything over 3500k. It's got 125k and still have the stock clutch.
