Default 275-40r-17???

Will 275-40r-17's fit on a stock mustang wheel 99-04. I wanna get the mickey thompson Et Street tires and that is the only size they make for a 17 in rim. I need a tire with more traction the nittos were great for a while but now I blow them away, thanks!

I got a set of Cooper ZPT's on right now that are that size and my rim is 17inch. The same size as it was stock but mine is a 98 not sure if there is a width differance or not.

It will fit, but most people say that the middle of the tire won't make as much contact as the outer edges and prematurely wear your new rubber.

I agree; 275 is a little wide for an 8 inch rim; you're better off upgrading to a 9 inch wide. It'll save you from having to keep buying tires.

Actually they will fit and if you run them at 25 lbs at all times then they will wear evenly. Thats what I did with my Nitto Drags and they wor pretty evenly.

Not saying it won't go on there; it's just that the tire's section with wasn't really designed for that size rim because you can't run them in their recommended pressure range.

If u dont have ne thing done to ur rear suspension get ready for some bad *** wheel hop, and breakage of somekind. I have them on my 97 cobra and they work awsome...then i took the car to the track with my stock rear suspension, and my wheel hop was so bad the fat on my neck was jiggling lol. But, yes they will fit and hook really good.
