see where your car make its power with the new cams first. then adjust accordingly.

Raise the rev limiter up to 7000rpms but only rev to 6500. You don't want to bounce of the rev limiter that one of the worst things for your car. My rev limiter is set at 10,000rpms cause the tuner hit it once by accident when it was set just above 7000. I rev up over 7000rpms all the time

I was under the impression the stock internals couldnt handle the rpms above what its set to?

So I should ask to set my rev high but just stay below 6500 rpms? Is this tested safe?

if your tuner knows what hes doing then he should be able to adjust accordingly like stated above. you need to shift when the cars hp curve starts to fall, just raise the rev limiter above that to keep from overspinning

haha of course they will. they should print you out a sheet showing your hp/tq curve along with your a/f ratio and your hp/tq numbers.

what does the stock rev limiter kick it at? 5700rpms?

So Im going to ask him about increasing the limiter, but what problems can this cause (down the road?) What can I do in the near future for the car to safley handle 6500 rpms?
