Default HID Headlight assembly HELP

I have a hid kit from vvme.com and I cant seem to figure out how the hid bulb is held on tight to the headlight assembly. The stock bulb is held on by a factory locking device (its the black thing right after the bulb that goes on behind it and then twist to lock and holds the bulb in). I cant get it to fit over the new hid bulb since its base is bigger with a wiring harness attached to it. Any ideas on how you guys with hids got your bulbs to stay in would be appreciated. Thanks!!

It should fit right in and turn to lock it in. Is the black thing facing the right way?

Yeah its facing the right way lol. It wont go over the bulb becuase of the wiring harness that sticks out from the back bottom of the hid bulb it looks like i might have to shave the locking clips a bit to get it to go over the bulb.

i have the same kit, i BELIEVE the HID unscrews into 2 pieces....so you take it apart, put the clip in, and then twist the hid back together

That black thing go's on over the bulb, and have it so that those grip ridges on it are facing your bulb.

He is right. The part on the bulb with the orange o-ring twists off. Put just that piece in the housing using the factory lock ring, then slip the bulb in from the back and twist it to the right to lock it back in.
