It could be a few things. I'd start with brakes. Check for even wear on the pads and the rotors. Check the Rotors for a glazed finish and micro cracks. Make sure you inspect the calipers when you pull out the pads. Alignment could be a cause as well as uneven wear on the tires. Tie Rod ends and Ball joints are another.

There are a multiple list of things that can be wrong and if more than one thing is wrong, they could be working to together to exacerbate the feeling when you drive.

Always start with the cheapest thing first.

or.... sometimes midas or other brake companies do free check-up's. If you don't think you can find the issue out yourself, wait until they have a free check-up and let them tell you what's wrong.

Please DO NOT WAIT for any such deal or discount.

If you don't know brake work, take it into your local mechanics shoppe to figure out what is wrong. It may be as simple as some of the items mentioned above, but may be MUCH more critical.

Spend some cash to figure this out before the "pulling" runs you into another lane or gets more aggressive.

More than likely its your alignment, it could possibly be a brake bias issue, but that is highly unlikely

I JUST pulled out a car here at work (`98 continental) that had the same issue. You hit the brakes and the car would jerk left then straighten up. Turns out the RF brake line was collapsed and keeping pressure on the caliper. The car needs atleast a RF caliper and RF brake line. Pop the calipers off on the front and try to compress the pistons in.
