Change EEC for 4v swap

Change EEC for 4v swap
I've been toying with the idea of dumping these 2v heads on my 5.4 and stepping up into the mans world and getting some 4v heads...
My problem is going to come in with the COP and reversing the polarity. My car is a 96, which was originally equipped with coil packs.
Recently I converted to a COP setup. Basically there is 1 power wire and 4 trigger wires and you wire the COP accordingly to basically trick the computer into fire the correct cylinder like it was still using coil packs.
So unfortunately for me, reversing the polarity isn't has simple has swapping the wires around because that would not accomplish the same thing. So now I'm thinking that my only option is to switch to a 99+ EEC and top engine harness.
I'm just looking for any heads up from someone who has successfully swapped EEC. Or anyone who can think of issues that I will run into.

you could 1. cut the wires short and just reverse them, or 2. (easier and cleaner) repin the connectors by switching the pins. it should still work the same in theory as doing it on a cop eec even though you are running your coils in waste spark still i assume.

well if you look at this link... this is how I have my setup wired now. You see that it isn't as simple as reversing the wires because the order the the coils are wired is very specific. I can't see that switching the wires would accomplish the same thing.

man that looks confusing, i don't really follow how the diagrams he did goes but if it works it works. what would have been easier would have been to run the 12v power wire in parallel to all the coils hot pin, then run the ground control for the original wastespark cylinders to their respective negative pins on the cop. then all you would have to do when you did the 4v swap would be repin the coil connectors.

ok i just got it lol. he has 2 coils run in series which is how i assume the stock eec runs the wastespark system. so in all reality you would just have to repin 4 of your coils to reverse the polarity (my brains starting to scramble so let me let that sink in for a second i'll draw it on paper to make sure).

okay i lied, if you wire it up the way i have it drawn (sorry it sux but make do with what i got), then repin ALL 8 connectors (switch side to side), your end result would be= reversed polarity to the cop using the 96 pcm which would let you run your 4v heads.
