COMMON QUESTION..
hey guys, i have a 97 cobra...check engine light went on today...took it to autozone rana diag.. my 02 sensor went bad which i dont care about...but it said my MANF. IDLE Malfunction....so i am assuming that is my IAC...the car has a rolling idle of 1500 rpms..which is way hi, and a reg idle of 1k rpms...which is also high, how do i clean or correct that? and where is it located on the 4.6 DOHC?

You need the exact codes. There are 8 or 9 possible codes for each of the O2 sensors, some of which mean the sensor is bad and some that mean the sensors is reporting a problem.
Also, there are a dozen or more codes that have to do with idle speed control.
Here's my DTC lookup page that will provide posible causes and suggested fixes and diagnostic tips for each code...

this may not be the exact one..but this was what it looked like/seemed to be..again my rolling and dead stop idles are very high....
P0505 - Idle Air Control System Malfunction
top
The PCM attempts to control engine speed during KOER self-test. The test fails when the desired rpm could not be reached or controlled during the self-test.
* IAC circuit open
* VPWR to IAC solenoid open
* IAC circuit shorted to PWR
* Air inlet is plugged
* Damaged IAC valve
* Damaged PCM
The IAC solenoid resistance is from 6 to 13 ohms. Monitor IAC PID duty cycle and/or voltage.
