Question Did someone make this hood functional? - *Pics*

I took the stock hood scoop off earlier while I was touching up on the vinyl stripes. I noticed that the inlet under the scoop was hollow.

I don't recall seeing this on other Mustangs.

The weird part is, the scoop still has the factory honeycomb insert that blocks air.

Did someone do this? Factory job, Roush job?

Sorry I don't have a answer to your question but let me get this straight...

You sold your 05 gt, then bought a S/C Saleen and you sold that for a roush stage 2? Why you sell the saleen??

CAn't answer your question but I have heard that if you remove the honeycomb from the stock GT hood in order to make it functional (also drilling the hood underneath) the scoop deforms under speed because the plastic can't take the pressure.
Maybe someone tried something similar and failed as well?

hm, I surprised anyone remembers. lol.

I go through cars like water. In the past 12 months I've had the 05 GT, Saleen, Cobra vert, C5 Vette, the Roush, an Acura CL and an Accord.

I'm a car addict with an entire family in the car business. Not a good combo.

Damn bro, Where do you get all the money for these cars? I know you can't be financing them all because then you would be so upside down on car payments it wouldn't be funny, so you gotta be payin cash for these cars.

sounds plausible.

I don't see how it would be all that beneficial with it being open, seeing as it's a couple of feet away from the intake tube.

Not to mention, I live in one of the rainest cities in the country, I wouldn't want it completely exposed..

I've never financed anything in my life.. I hate owing people.

25 with no debt is so far, so good.

I think I remember talking to you now about the Mach 1 after you sold the GT?

Cobra was a silver '01 Vert.

I'm already selling the Roush, well trying to.

Big changes coming up, so I could use the extra coin. I don't mind keeping it if I can't get what I'm asking, but it shouldn't be a problem - like you said, you don't see many that look like it.
