how hard is a head swap

Takes me about 6 hours to do a head swap. If your not a tool you should be able to knock it out in a weekend with a friend to help you out.

Now on a lightning make that like 9 hours. I hate those trucks.

The guy has already admitted *I think* he's done very little if anything on a car before.

I'd figure closer to three 7 or 8 hour days just because I'm sure there are going to be parts he's gonna have to run and pick up. Or things aren't going to go quite right the first time etc....

It took me about 3 months..off and on working on it...lol

But, 1 month of that was trying to find a cylinder head that was not a piece of ****, and another day or two waiting for the shop to put the camshaft on the correct direction.

Oh, and 2 weeks in Texas while the car sat..that too...

2-4 days is my guess since you're not a mechanic, or close to it
