Default Got a terrible miss at idle and no power

Basically, I was going to race one of my buddys dropped it down a gear and lost all power all at once. Not sure if I broke something or have a bent valve. I have put new plugs, coils, fuel pump, regulator, checked all injectors. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas of what it could be?

we need more details. can you crank the engine at all, etc.

and when you say dropped it down a gear, do you mean that you were 4+ rpms in 4th and went into third, or what?

It starts and runs but it misses really bad... I was in third gear about 2500 rpm went to second.. It still runs ok but it acts like a dropped a cylinder or part of my engine is not working.

so you have replaced all your plugs/coil packs/etc and found those all work 100%?

if so, have you checked your compression? How does your oil look?

136,000 miles. The oil is clean, doesnt have but about 200 miles on the oil. The plugs are burning correct and wires are also. We run a snap-on scanner to check voltage and burn times for the plugs. Havent tried a compression check yet. Should I go in the compression check direction? If so what kind of numbers should I look for in the cylinders?

the compression numbers for my 02 were around 120...the two missing cylinders i had were pushing 80..then after i replaced the coil packs they were all hovering around 120...

did you rev match? it dosnt seem like shifting from 3rd at 2500 to 2nd would be too violent on anything...

Basically just dropped a gear and punched it, and it all at once lost all power. It has missed since then.

How did you preform your compression check with all plugs out or one at a time? Also did you warm the motor up first?
