Go for the bolt in cat back.
Doing exhaust on your back in the driveway is no fun.
And cutting and welding mufflers that way .......... no thanks.
And as stated a full 2.5 inch system will flow better.

Yea they do, kinda looks like some quality stuff though.....

Only thing I see that I dont like is the "slip fit" set up that it has. I would much rather have the ball and socket type.

No take another 65 dollars and get the Flowmasters that you wanted to begin with. The Flowmaster catback can be found for about $365 if you shop around a little bit.
