Default HELP, broken somthing....

Ok heres the thing, i went tonight to set a new best time, before i started changing things. New best time of 13.39@102.33 from previous best of 13.79@102 needless to say im happy...had more room to improve to, now the problem...I think i friend the posi after that run, so only driver side tire does a burn out. Question is, will it get worse? can i just drive careful for the next 2 months? or will it be dead in a week. Plus i am only assuming its the posi because i didnt feel anthing snap, so i dont think its the axle but im not sure. any help or advice or maybe someway i can check it without spending money would be much apreciated. Thanks

If you're doing one-wheel peels, chances are it's just the posi... get a rebuild kit

You'll be more than fine to drive on it. You just need to get a T-lock rebuild kit to replace those little clutch disks.

If you were planning on gears then now would be the perfect time. Nice new time BTW, thats pretty impressive.

Nice times. Now If only I could pull off something like that

If it was your axle you wouldnt of been able to make it home unless you had a trailer

oh on this subject...if im to lazy to do it myself, ive never torn a rear end down....how much do you think it would be to have someone rebuild just the posi? or is it just as expensive as gears?

not to be a stickler, but #1 Positraction (posi) is Chevy, shame on you
It's probably just the spring in the dff causing your heartache,

I haven't had to replace one, but it looks pretty simple to fix.

Also, you shouldn't worry about what other people think is impressive. If you have that car to impress people, it's a losing battle. I personally just race for fun. No matter how fast you go, you will find somebody else faster. No big deal.

Good luck man!
