Default Changing the oil in a mustang

Hello everyone. I just got a 2000 mustang GT a couple of weeks ago and I was wondering if you guys could tell me if it is difficult to change the oil in it? I know how to do an oil job just fine but I only have done them on cars from the
60's and 70's. I would have a hard time trusting my baby with some kid at a jiffylube, also in my older cars I have always used catrol, should I use castrol sythetic in my mustang? it has 37,400 original miles.

very easy, just like the old ones, drain plug, oil filter, replace and fill. I had a 67 302 coupe and now this car its just as easy. I'd use full synthetic thats all thats going in my car. brand is personal preference

just don't try to rinse all the old oil out with water....

(reference to old thread where kid used water to clean out "all the bad oil")

there's a specific torque rating for the oil pan drain plug, but I would guess that 1 out of every 50 goes and used a torque wrench when changing the oil.

Other than that, nope. Just like * I would assume * any other car. Drain oil. Pull filter. Replace filter, plug pan.

Yep, easy job and I use a torque wrench. There is really no reason not to use one. I've got two, one 3/8" and one 1/2" drive.

Also never had a problem with my spark plugs at 101k because I use a torque wrench.

Don't let the new cars scare you. They are just as easy to work on. Get yourself a Haynes manual and DIY.

Very easy, I use my built in torque wrench on the oil pan plug and the real thing every where else I can.
