does it make the car sound any different ? I never noticed anything myself. I might as well put it back on.
The air silencer job is to SILENCE the sound of the air getting into the intake thru the filter, Removing it is good for an extra 0.0367 HP gain, unoticeable of course. Get rid of everything and buy a CAI.

You want a real thrill that will add the feeling of getting an additional 100+ HP out of your Mustang......take the windshield out and 50 mph will feel like 150 mph! Better yet, take the doors off too!!

YOUR RIGHT!!! i tried it today and man did i feel the rush. it was awesome besides that fact that i ate a few hundred bugs and pebbles. I suggest this to anyone wanting that extra power or feel of it.

i just got a fendermount CAI and ran ducting from the inner fenderwell to my foglight for a ram air effect. it costs about 15 bucks extra from lowe's for the custom ram air, but that is even better than cai alone b/c it is lower to the ground and scoops oncoming air.

I put the silencer back on, the only thing is did was make my exhaust sound less aggressive. I did notice that when I layed on it on the highway it didnt kick up as fast as it did before. I think I need a CAI
