4R70W Temps

I'm doing some datalogging.....this is really sweet. And i'm curious.....whats the highest "safe" operating temp of the 4R70W? I only did an 11 minute data log with 2 WOT pulls but I noticed the trans temp would only start to lower at idle RPMs...otherwise it was always on the rise. At what point does it start managing its temperature? I started off at 130F and at the end of the parse I was at 176F.

Also....i'm logging fuel pump duty cycle as well....its representing it with a decimal. For example @ 5380 RPM's my fuel pump duty cycle was listed as ".379". Does this mean .379% of its full capability, or does it represent something else?

Where exactly is my air intake temperature measured from?

Did I mention this is cool as ****?

Not sure, but maybe the .379 is 37.9%, and your IAT is measured from your MAF. The 2002 and up MAF and IAT are integrated

My 4r70w will get as high as 180-185 in slow stop and go traffic. But most of the time crusing around itll level off around 150 or so. Keep in mind I have a j-mod and a tranny cooler.

Right.

.379% = 37.9% which is what I assumed it was representing....only makes sense considering its at .20 or so during normal driving.

If my intake air temp is measured at the MAF something is wrong. I was seeing 100+ degree air intake temperatures at idle. It is NOT that hot in NC right now. When I got moving it dropped significantly which is a given but it was as high as "110" at idle.
