Default only one HID will light, the other one says f u

ive swapped the bulbs, checked the fuses. i bought a whole brand new kit and the pass side will still not light up.... new bulb, new harness, new ballast... WTF???? the bulb tries to fire, it just flickers for a quick second and dies. ive tried unplugging the driver side bulb and turning them on, but nothin.

what is going on here?????

my old kit worked fine till one night and then the pass side went out. i put the stock bulbs back in till i got the replacement. and still no luck.

^+1, if the lamp tries to fire and cannot it is likely to be that the HV is insufficient--could be not enough power to the ballast (an overly resistive ground or other connection would cause this), or a bad unit.

Are you saying even the stock bulb on that side didn't work also when you put them in after the HID stopped working???

If your stock bulb and your HID on that same side didn't work I would think you got a bad wire in the wire harness between the headlight and switch.

I had a problem with my regular high beam not working on the drivers side, even with new bulbs, it turned out I had a wire chaffing through and shorting out on a body panel.

i guess im an idiot or my car is just effing with me cause i orginally swapped lights, and it was with the same side that was not working....

so when i had the new kit installed i used an old light i had to to test that side. it still didnt work. i swapped the new light and now the drivers side doesnt work...

so i guess it was a light the whole effing time.
