No they both looked like they threaded in all the way just like the original lines but it definitely possible that yours didn't. Try taking the bracket off that holds the coupler and screw the hard line in like that. When I tried screwing the hard line into the coupler with it still mounted to the fender well it didn't want to line up straight so I had to force the line to start threading. With it not mounted I was able to get the threads started nice and easy and I think for this reason the flare seated in there much better than before.

Cool, that sounds like what mine is doing. It doesn't look like it is going straight like it did originally. I'll have to try that out. I now first gotta fix my hard line on the passenger side that I rounded off the line to.
