Default New catback! Tips on removing old one?

After 2 years of owning my car, I bought my first mod today. Got a Magnaflow (not magnapack) catback. I have the install instructions for it but was wondering if anyone had tips for removing the old catback. Can it be done without cutting? I have a friend with a V6 that wants it and is gonna buy an adaptor. Any advice would be great. It is in the garage now with PB Blaster breaking the bolts loose while I sleep. Thanks!

The stock pipes have to be cut because they will not clear the axle. You will also likely have to get the car up pretty high to get the new pipes in--depending on how they are confgured.

I had a local muffler shop install my MagnaFlow catback 'cause I'm too old to be screwing around, on my back under the car, with crap like that--that the guys at Rick's Muffler Shop can do on a lift in 15 minutes, for $50...

You can drop the rear if you want to save it, it's really not tooo much work.

troyd987654- I like to be different and made my own exhaust. It sounds sick and has a very recognizable sound to it. I have 2.5" piping with Moroso Spiralflow mufflers. If I changed my exhaust again I would probably try out Spintech.

Basic loud mustang exhaust: SLP LM1

+1

you dont HAVE to cut it out, but its a little bit easier and less time consuming. (although dropping the axle is pretty straightforward and simple)
