Default Weird Noise

Ok so I picked up my car exactly a week ago. I noticed a sound, it was more of a squeak that sounded like a timing belt. My buddy swore it was a throw out berring or a u-joint (if that is correct) as soon as you push the clutch in (and I mean a pubic hair push) the sound stops. I hear it when I am driving sometimes but when the clutch is engaged it is gone. Brought it to Ford and they said they found nothing wrong with the car.

Anyone have an idea? Someone said it could be that the clutch needs to be adjusted.

Had the same problem on my old 93 Probe GT. It was the throw out bearing.

Just my .02 cents.

is it like a repeating chirp/squeek? if it is, then most likely a throw out bearing, had same problem. fixed when i had my tranny rebuilt.

How much freeplay does the clutch pedal have? I have seen a few cars in which insufficient freeplay (cable slack) would let the ToB "kiss" the clutch spring's fingers, just enough to make a noise. Stepping on the pedal would load it up enough so that it stopped.

If you do not have 1" to 1-1/4" freeplay in the pedal then adjust the cable (see here).
