Are the front brake lines different sizes in the front???

I got 3/16" brake line fittings as that is what the guy at Advanced auto said will work to fix the passenger side brake line fitting that I messed up but it won't fit the brake line. So I'm guessing it it must be 1/4".
I was checking to see if I got the right fitting by seeing if it would fit the driver side to make sure I got the right size but it is so loose that it actually goes inside the drivers side fitting without screwing it but it will screw into the passenger side hose.

So is the drivers side brake line bigger then the passenger side for some reason??
They obviously are because the SS lines I got with my Cobra brakes are different sizes.
It just pissed me off because now I gotta wait a few more days untl I can get back to the auto parts store.

Yes, they are different sizes. I just bled my brakes this weekend, I know on the back it took an 11mm wrench, and on the front it was a 10mm. The front is the same size as the bleed screws on the master cylinder. I have an 02 GT
