How long does a supercharged engine last on average?
My question is pretty much the topic. My car is on the verge of being supercharged but I would like to know on average how long a supercharged car lasts? I know each person is different as far as how they drive their cars but someone here has to know an average. With that in mind is there anyway of increasing a supercharged engines life without going with forged internals?

ITS ALL IN THE TUNE!!!!!
i drove my blown 03 GT for about a year to year and half with no problems. and by no means was i easy on it either. i beat the living snot out of that car with no remorse and it just kept on chugging. it made 39x somethin. but like i said above, i cant stress enough, ITS ALL IN THE TUNE

It not just the tune, but also how far you push the motor. Most tuners recommend no more than 370-380 rwhp on stock internals. Little mistakes are more forgiving at that horsepower than at 450 rwhp. I've got 117,000 on the motor, 37,000 of it was supercharged. I don't really beat on the car but the motor does occasionally see redline. Things happen, but I'm fairly confident that it will go a few more years (180,000+ miles) before I have to rebuild or replace the motor.
