The chip in the key is supposed to be pretty effective, prevents the thief from hotwiring the car.. but if he's got a tow truck you're SOL

Well just mod your car really really awesome so when the theif steals it he'll wreck it cause it has to much power for the bum !! Atleast thats what im doing. He'll be flooring it to get away and BAM ! hit a telephone pole and i'll get abunch of money for my car.

that'd look good for insurance for anti-theft devices you can mark that your car has. "1200RWHP. they'll die trying to steal it and possibly kill others in the process!"

The car's computer won't work without the transponder in the key. HOWEVER, car thieves these days are smart and may/could bring an aftermarket computer. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they have a device that plugs right into the ODB port to get the car to start right up just seconds after they break in.

get a 4 position chip from SCT. that's what im doing. you can leave it in position 0, wich is no tune, and it will run like *** and they won't get far.
