Default cobra calipers come with hangers?

I have the option of either getting cobra calipers for 80 bucks each, 40 bucks for the rotors, i think are 13 inch...or i can get stock GT rotors for 25 each and my calipers are fine but i need pads this week...my question is, when my girlfriends dad called his supplier they told him there is no listing for hangers/brackets for the cobra calipers off of an 03. Ive seen pics on website of the 10th anniversary cobra calipers and it looks like the hanger is built in with the caliper as 1 piece...can someone clarify this for me so I know whether i should get the cobra setup...thanks

The Cobra rotor is larger than your existing one, so the caliper must be moved outward to fit around it. There is a bracket that will accomplish this on both the front and rear end. I run the 2K Cobra "R" brakes all around and the rears are only slightly larger rotor, but the caliper was the same as my stock GT one.

It is a benefit to have a larger rotor as you have some mechanical advantages to braking. If you get great pads on stock rotors, you would not see much of a difference, IMO.

I think there is much hype about larger rotors and multi-piston calipers, but you are ultimately limited by your tires in how fast you can stop. I can put 24" rotors and 18 piston calipers on my ride, but if the tires begin to stop rotation, the ABS will kick in and release the brakes anyway (simple explanation there)

The Cobra brakes are certainly an upgrade to the GT ones, but good pads will go a long way to stopping in a short distance

the cobra calipers come off the bracket just like the GT's do. as far as i know, the kit usually comes with the brackets but it sounds like you're getting yours as a "replacement part", so it'll probably be just the caliper
