And btw I wasn't reading the numbers, I was told that Mach 1 numbers were way underrated by ford, and in reality they are faster than the SVT. Could some one shed some light on this? Or is this complete BS lol.

I won't be buying anything for atleast 3-4 months. I'm just doing some reaserch and thought I would as you guys, as all of my friends are " Chevy Fans ". They simply just answer by saying NO to anything ford related. For example, " Found a cobra for X amount of $, think its a good deal ?".. " NO " .
Yeah i deal with the same ******** friends! haha

Well here's the thing. The Mach 1 is underated, but so is the Termi (03-04 Cobra). I've seen the Mach 1 rated at 325 stock...that's a little high but its not unreasonable. The Termi is rated at 390 hp, but it's been dynoed at around 420. I think the reason for all this underrated **** is because back in 99, when the new model Cobra came out, the horsepower was lower than the expected 320 hp. It was somewhere around 300 actual. So SVT did some fixing and came out again in 2001 with the Cobra that did meet the actual numbers (320). Then in 03, when the Mach 1 and the Termi came out, they didn't really want to overhype their numbers and therefore rated the numbers lower. Essentially, the 99/01, 03-04 Cobras, and 03-04 Mach 1's used the same engine (4.6 L Dual Overhead Cam 4 valve/ cylinder). What sets the Termi apart from the rest, are forged internals and a stock Eaton supercharger. The difference with the Mach 1 is the air intake and i believe there are some forged things on the Mach 1

Wow that was too much and i hope it's all right

Thanks for answering in detail
Is it possible that they underrated the Mach 1 for the consumers own sake? So like the insurance won't be that high.
If thats true, what a move, absolute quality. Serving their consumers with monstrous machines, and simultaneously protecting them.

I heard thats what they did with the 03/04s because once you hit the 400 mark the insurance jumps a good bit so they rated them @ 390 when they make closer to 420.
