Default Should I buy 01 SVT? Please help !

Hi,
I just found a used a manuel 2001 SVT for sale, with about 70K miles and the asking price is about 13K. Is it worth it? I never owned ( just edited it ) a sports car and yet a manuel. I can afford a new mustang but I don't want to wreck the new car by learning how to drive a manuel.
Is the car still considered old?

addtional details:

the car has a new transmission and a carbon fiber hood with a scoop and hood pins. Modified cold-air intake (BBK), and modified exhaust (Flowmaster)

Thanks for the replies guys !
So what's the difference between Mach 1 and an 03 cobra to the 2001 SVT?

What if I haven't found any of those vehicles mentioned above in my area, should I talk him down to about 12K, is that good? or should I talk him down even more?

IMO I think that an 03 cobra might be a big jump for somebody who has never had a sports car or driven a manual before... I think that an 01 cobra or mach 1 would be a better choice in your situation.

First things first. Go find a friend or ANYONE and test drive a mustang and/or 5 speed. That's prob a good thing to do right away.

O and I believe the actual numbers on the 03-04 Cobras are higher (420 hp) and the Mach 1

Im sorry I just edited my original post. Yes I have never owned one but I drove my friend's camaro a couple of times. In addition, I used to drive a motorcycle.

do you think mach 1 is a better choice since I won't be looking for after market mods?

So the Mach 1 is the fastest out of them 3, correct?

I found a stock 04 mach 1, with 34K miles and for $18K + its an automatic. Is that a good price or a rip off?

Keep in mind that in Texas, 70K is low miles. Big state. In a year and a half, my dad put 35K miles on his truck.
